The college encourages daily attendance at all classes and labs so that students will gain the maximum benefit from the instruction that is offered. Students are expected to monitor their own attendance and to assume full responsibility for any course work which was missed while they are absent. Individual programs may have specific attendance standards.
Students who receive financial aid must have a 91 percent attendance average to maintain their eligibility to receive aid. If attendance drops below 91 percent, a student will be placed on attendance probation status which may result in the withholding of their aid.
Students on Pre-registration lists
If the program in which you wish to enroll has no openings, you may enroll on a pre-registration list by completing a registration form and paying a non refundable $30.00 deposit. All program prerequisites required for a Professional-Technical program and a COMPASS+ placement test must be completed prior to being placed on a program pre-registration list.
You will be placed on the list as of the date your deposit is paid. This deposit is non refundable, however it is applied to your first quarter tuition when you begin your training program.
As openings occur, you will be notified by mail or by phone. No response will result in cancellation from the list. If you are unable to start the program upon our first notification, you will be allowed to remain on the pre-registration list until the next program opening occurs. If you are unable to accept the second opening you will be cancelled from the pre-registration list. If you request to remain on the list after your second notification, you will be placed at the bottom of the list.
An exception will be made if you are currently enrolled in a Basic Studies class and need additional basic skills before entering your training program. You will be allowed to remain on the pre-registration list until you have achieved those skills necessary to enter the program.
